Our Curriculum
At Little Leapers we design our curriculum with two goals in mind... to be developmentally appropriate for early childhood yet challenging enough to promote growth and confidence.
Each class begins and ends with stretches to promote a consistent group activity students can know, expect, and depend on to engage the children and prepare them for the classes activities. During the class children will run through various skills, drills, games, and activities designed to build core sports skills and introduce them into the world of sports while also building sportsmanship skills and working on other vital developmental skills in the area of social emotional connections, turn taking, communication, and gross motor development.
Children leave our program having grown exponentially in a number of developmental categories and with a superior foundation for entering traditional youth sports, such as club soccer and Little League, should they choose to proceed in athletics.
Inclusive
We strive to achieve inclusivity for all children in our programs. We have welcomed children of all abilities and have been able to accommodate students with special needs such as autism, cerebral palsy, Downs Syndrome, mutism, speech delays, and more. Our instructors undergo extra training to learn how to engage with children of all abilities and help make goals tailored to each child’s individual needs.
