Weather & Refund Policies

Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance at a scheduled class

Why? Your funding helps us arrange for staffing, facility rentals, etc. We ask families to make a commitment to be there or pay for their spot regardless of attendance so we can maintain quality programs for the rest of the children. Due to limits on class sizes and full classes, we cannot guarantee make up classes for days missed. Please reach out to see if we can coordinate something.

Weather, COVID, Etc Related Cancellations

Should we cancel a class due to a staff illness, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will provide a make-up day at the same time, and day the following week. This pushes our end date out 1 week. During sign ups, families review and sign for acceptance of our weather and cancellation policies. Families should sign up prepared to encounter cancellations for rain and extreme heat/smoke and therefore extended end dates. We do not provide refunds for these incidents, instead make up days are scheduled.

Refunds

We do not provide refunds if your child decides they no longer want to play, parents/guardians have changed their mind about enrolling, relocations/moves, child custody changes, you are no longer able/wanting to drive to the park site, or other similar reasons. Prior to signing up please review dates, times, locations, and be prepared to make the commitment.

RAIN, AIR QUALITY, AND HEAT INFO

Each week you should plan on attending class unless you hear otherwise. We do our very best to monitor air and weather conditions in the days leading up to class. However, things change rapidly, often both working in our favor, and against us as well. We try our absolute best to give a minimum of 24-hour notice of any cancellations.

If a class must be cancelled it will be rescheduled. We do this by adding on an additional week (same day time and place) to make up for the week missed. This pushes the end date out 1 week. See our refund policy for more information.
We make decisions to cancel, or continue with play, based on guidelines for youth sports and schools that are provided by the State and CDC.

Extreme Heat:
Anything between 100-105 degrees we take precautions, using misters lots of water breaks, and keep play time short (30 minutes) with low exertion activities. At 106 degrees we will cancel and reschedule per state guidelines.

Air Quality:
On days where AQI is ranging “good” to “unhealthy for sensitive groups” we will meet. The numerical range is 0-150. The state and CDC permits us to continue with short practices (which we have anyways) until the AQI reaches unhealthy (150+). If the AQI looks questionable, please monitor your email.
****Different websites vary VASTLY on AQI’s. We utilize airnow.gov

Rain:
Rain presents challenges on the field for both players comfort and field conditions. Due to this, we may cancel class after heavy prolonged rain, even if it is not currently continuing to rain. Playing on very muddy/flooded fields damages the field and provides fall risks to the kids.
